Eric Sol Grodan graduated with honors from Southwestern University School of Law in 2000 and is currently pursing specialized legal education at Loyola Law School's Graduate Tax Program to earn a LL.M in Taxation. After law school, Eric began his legal career with Steven Spielberg's USC Shoah Foundation Institute, a nonprofit visual history project that digitized an archive of nearly 55,000 Holocaust survivors and witnesses. As Foundation Attorney in the General Counsel's Office, Eric counseled survivors and witnesses on issues ranging from income tax preparation to estate planning.

Presently, Eric serves as Director of Gift Planning of the California Community Foundation ("CCF"), a competitive grant maker that aims to improve people's lives and strengthen the communities in and around the Los Angeles basin. Eric oversees a Gift Planning team that routinely raises in excess of $150 million annually, including charitable and planned gifts realized through outright contributions, foundation grants, probate proceedings and/or trust administrations.

Eric is a sought after speaker on both basic and advanced estate planning concepts. He frequently presents to law, CPA, and business management firms, in addition to financial institutions, including Northern Trust, Wealth Tax Advisory Services, UBS, Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch and O'Melveny and Myers.

Eric also offers free family education seminars and workshops to teach parents 7 easy steps that they must know in order to fully protect their family. His workshops empower parents to make decisions on weighty topics, such as who should rear their children if the unthinkable were to happen and how to most effectively bequeath assets to a significant other and/or children.

Eric is President of the Los Angeles Estate Planning Council and Vice President of the San Fernando Valley Estate Planning Council. Eric is a proud husband of Lori Brockman and father of Gabriel and Ayla Grodan. Outside of family, work, education and civic endeavors, Eric enjoys playing golf, basketball, and guitar.
